I go nuts with desserts, and I honestly have a really big sweet tooth most of the time. However, I also know that sometimes good treats can be found in different places. However, these are recommended for those feeling crummy because it sucks when you are stuffed up. So if you or a loved one are a little sick then try one of these to help you feel better.
Bran-date Muffins Recipe

COMBINE 2 cups whole wheat flour
1 – 1/2 cups pure unprocessed miller ’s bran
1 – 1/2 tsp. baking soda
COMBINE ½ cup dark molasses
2 Tbsp. honey
COMBINE above ingredients with
2 egg whites or 1 whole egg
2- 1/4 cups buttermilk (or 2 cups, plus ¼ cup no-sugar applesauce)
ADD IN 1 cup (or more) chopped dates (optional)
Mix above just enough to moisten.
Spoon into muffin tins sprayed with Pam, filling cups ½ to 2/3 full.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 2 dozen muffins.
