Old Man Winter has settled in and is making himself at home in the Quad Cities. However, his presence doesn’t mean you should stay inside with the fireplace roaring. There are some fun winter activities taking place in the QCA. In this week’s Family Focus Friday, Mike Mickle gives us a sneak peek at this year’s IceStravaganza.
Icestravaganza offers FREE indoor kids’ activities including a cookie decorating station, crafts, and Davenport Public Library story time.
For the adults, Necker’s Jewelers will be giving away sizeable gift certificates as well. The Freight House Farmers Market will remain open until 4 p.m. so you can shop local, too. After the sun goes down, the sculptures will be lit to make viewing extra spectacular during the tasting event, so plan to share fun photos with friends and #tagtheQC!
The Icestravaganza tasting event will feature Front Street Brewery craft beer and signature cocktails from Mississippi River Distillery and Artisan Grain Distillery and will feature ice drink luges and a bar made of nothing but ice! Enjoy complimentary tastings with your tickets with a cash bar to purchase your favorites. There will be music during the event from 6-8pm with live music in the Front Street Tap Room starting at 8pm. Tickets for the evening tasting will be limited and will be $5 in advance.
